In medieval Europe, "medicus" was a prestigious title that could only be attained through experience and a high level of medical knowledge. Anyone who wanted to rise to the rank of medicus first had to prove themselves as a traveling barber, care for the local population, and master the medical profession.

In Medico, players take on the role of barbers and try to gain enough knowledge on their travels to be the first to earn the title of the next Medicus. On their journey, they visit various cities, study in monastery libraries, care for the sick, and collect remedies along the way that they can sell for valuable coins to train apprentices, purchase medical instruments, or study under a Medicus himself. But being in the good graces of the nobility and the clergy also has its advantages.

Those who play tactically and plan strategically not only score the most points to win, but also become the next Medicus! The flexible layout of the eight-part city map brings variety and excitement to every game.
