Stir the Waters with New Challenges!

The tide is rising, bringing unpredictable shifts with the Rising Tides expansion. This addition introduces an element of surprise to your favorite card game through 12 brand-new Event cards. Each round begins by revealing one event, whose special rule immediately affects everyone at the table. But the impact doesn't end there—after scoring, the card is awarded to either the player with the highest or lowest score, who continues to benefit (or suffer) from that rule.

The expansion fundamentally transforms established strategies with new pair effects. Playing Crabs might now allow you to draw from both discard piles, while a pair of Sharks lets you literally "steal" a played pair right from under an opponent's nose. If you master the "Water Rodeo" with Swimmers, you even gain the chance to peek at an opponent's hand and swap a card with them.

For those who love risk-taking and collecting, Rising Tides introduces new point values and victory conditions. Shells can increase in value to 2 points, and Octopuses become a prized catch. The most significant change, however, is the "Mermaid Dance," which can reduce the number of mermaids needed for an instant win from four down to just three.
