In Xylotara, players compete to get their own xylotara running – a unique hybrid between a guitar and a keyboard!

At the start of the game, each player receives a set of cards secretly arranged by one of their opponents according to value. The twist? Players don’t know their card values – only the colors and the order. Throughout the game, they try to win tricks and correctly predict how many they will take.

Xylotara is a clever and compact trick-taking game that will delight not only gamers but also music lovers!

The story:
On June 30, 1985, young Bob McZimochňap took part in the great Czechoslovak Spartakiáda on Strahov stadium. Together with 200,000 other participants, he sang along to a tune by David Michal Doupata. That night changed his life — Bob decided to become a keytar player.

But Bob was a polar bear, and the keys and buttons of 1980s instruments were far too small for his paws. He asked a local craftsman, Kazimír Basista, to build him an alternative instrument — a fusion of a xylophone and a synthesizer. When Kazimír delivered the first prototype of the xylotara, he mysteriously disappeared. The authorities soon took interest in Bob… and fearing that the Czechoslovak legal system might not treat him fairly, Bob fled into the Canadian wilderness.

They say that when the northern lights shine brightest, you can still hear the sound of 80s classics echoing through the tundra — played on the legendary xylotara.
