A map expansion for the board game Toy Battle.

La Croisette introduces new terrain for the base game Toy Battle. The map is inspired by the famous promenade in Cannes, France, so this time your armies will clash between the sea, luxury yachts and buildings reminiscent of major festival venues. The rules and victory conditions remain unchanged – you're still aiming to capture your opponent's headquarters or collect the required number of medals.

The new base layout, however, changes the path to those goals. Some spaces let you draw one unit from the supply and place it on your stand. The stand can hold at most eight units, so the effect can't be used once you'd exceed that limit.

Another base lets you point at one unit on your opponent's stand without looking at which one it is. Your opponent places it face down, and can't use it on their next turn. At the end of the turn the unit returns to the stand, though while sidelined it still counts toward the eight-unit limit. A well-timed strike can disrupt a prepared plan and force your opponent to look for another solution.

Two special bases only accept the wildcard or units with strength 4, 5, 6 or 7. The effects of units placed on these spaces are not triggered. You'll have to weigh whether to use a stronger toy to push through a restricted base, or play its ability elsewhere instead. La Croisette keeps the base game's fast pace while adding new decisions about which units to use and which direction to attack.
