In the 2400s, humanity embarks on its greatest challenge: terraforming the red planet. In Terraforming Mars, you take on the role of a powerful corporation backed by the World Government, initiating massive projects to raise temperature, increase oxygen levels, and create oceans — all to make Mars habitable.

Each player competes for victory points by contributing to the terraforming effort, but also by advancing infrastructure and completing strategic goals. Over 200 unique project cards offer powerful effects, long-term production boosts, and synergies to build your strategy. Cards have requirements tied to the global state of Mars, encouraging players to monitor and shape the planet’s development.

You manage your resources — MegaCredits, Steel, Titanium, Plants, Energy, and Heat — on your player board and expand onto the game board by placing cities, oceans, and greenery. Players also race for valuable Milestones and Awards worth extra points.

Your Terraform Rating is both your basic income and a key part of your final score. But success comes from balancing card economy, resource management, and tactical placement on the board.
