Puerh is an expansion to Tea Garden (not a standalone game). It enriches the experience with a brand-new Solo mode, two additional main actions (bringing the total to seven), and special Imperial decrees that expand the strategic depth of the game.
The first new action is visiting the Court, where you deploy Courtier meeples. The Court provides instant bonuses and end-of-round points if you hold majority there. The second new action is the Puer market, where players assemble Puer pieces into whole “cakes”. These not only grant bonuses from new tiles but also from those previously placed, and completed Puer cakes score points at the end of the game.
This expansion increases the overall complexity of Tea Garden and slightly lengthens playtime, while offering many fresh opportunities for planning and interaction. It also includes full components for Solo play.
