In Galileo Galilei, you become an astronomer at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries—a time when science clashes with religious dogma. Your goal is to discover new planets and star systems, improve your telescope, and push the boundaries of human knowledge.
Use your telescope to choose from five different actions, upgrading them as the game progresses. Collect planet and star system cards, gather lenses in different colors, and make groundbreaking discoveries. However, beware of the inquisitors! They can appear unexpectedly and ruin your reputation. Will you find a way to turn their interference into an advantage?
Galileo Galilei is a strategic Euro-style game with minimal luck, immersing you in the tension of scientific breakthroughs and ecclesiastical scrutiny. The game was designed by rising Czech author Tomáš Holek.
