Since you represent a central bank, you own the money printer—and you can bid whatever you want. The only limit is your imagination. Go nuts and bid anywhere from one dollar to thirty quadrillion.

Watch out for inflation

The game is a brilliant exercise in economic psychology. While you can spend an infinite amount of money, there is a catch: The player who spends the most total money throughout the game is automatically disqualified! All your points become worthless.

Often, the game will suffer from runaway inflation, leading to massive final bids. Other times, the group might pull back as they try to read each other's spending, making sure they don't become the "biggest spender." It’s a tense dance around risk and reward where you never truly know how much the others have hidden on their ledgers.
