Hire local citizens and leverage their unique expertise to erect the most majestic metropolis! The game ends at the close of the round in which a player completes their seventh building, after which final scores are calculated.

At the start of each round, players draft character cards in secret. Characters then perform their turns in numerical order, using powerful abilities to alter the course of play:

• Bluffing & Deduction: Secretly choose roles like the Assassin, Thief, Wizard, or Warlord to disrupt opponents or boost your resources.

• City Building: Earn gold or draft district cards to construct buildings across 5 color categories. Special purple districts offer unique passive abilities.

• Strategic Scoring: Score points equal to building costs, along with end-game bonuses for building all 5 district types or completing your city first.

The revised edition features 27 characters (8 classic, 10 from the Dark City expansion, and 9 brand new ones) and 30 unique district cards. The rulebook also provides 6 preset character lists to tailor the playstyle and intensity to your group.
