Martian Chess is an original abstract strategy game using the iconic Looney Pyramids components. Winner of the 2000 Origins Award for Best Abstract Board Game. The game features a unique mechanic: pieces are not "yours" — instead, whatever pieces are on your side of the board are yours to move. When a piece crosses the dividing line, it changes hands.
Three sizes of pyramids move differently — large queens (3 spaces in any direction), medium drones (2 spaces diagonally), and small pawns (1 space diagonally forward). Capture enemy pieces to score their point value. A beautifully elegant abstract game. 2–4 players | Ages 10+ | 30 minutes
