It is 1840 in Kanagawa, the great bay of Tokyo. The Grand Master Hokusai has decided to open a painting school to share his art with his disciples. As one of these students, you must prove yourself worthy of the “crazy, old artist” by following his teachings, expanding your studio, and painting the most harmonious print of your lifetime.

How to Play? Players attend the Master's lessons, where they choose cards from the school board. Each lesson card presents a choice:

1. Expand your Studio: Improve your techniques, gain new brushes, or learn to paint new subjects.

2. Add to your Masterpiece: Use your mastered skills and brushes to paint Trees, Animals, Characters, or Buildings onto your panoramic work.

Key Highlights:

• Tactical Drafting: Decide whether to take a lesson early or wait for more cards—but risk losing them to a rival disciple.

• Diploma System: Earn prestigious diplomas for specific combinations in your studio or painting. Choose wisely, as you can only claim one of each type.

• Seasons of Art: Pay close attention to the changing seasons to create a continuous sequence, earning you extra harmony points.

• Beautiful Components: Features a unique bamboo playmat and stunning Japanese-inspired artwork that brings the theme to life.

End of the Game: The game concludes when the lesson deck is exhausted or a player completes a painting of 11 or more cards. The winner is the disciple with the most points from their masterpiece, diplomas, and studio bonuses.
