    Nádherně zpracovaná dřevěná hra. Ve hře je pět různých perforovaných desek, z nichž čtyři přesně pokrývají hrací plochu. Každá perforovaná deska má devět otvorů, ale na každé desce je vyznačen pouze jeden nebo dva otvory. Tyto označené otvory jsou dostatečně velké na to, aby jimi prošla kulička.

    Poznámka k názvu hry - Hollerith je název alfanumerického kódu pro děrované štíky.

    Ve svém tahu posunete volnou (pátou) destičku na hrací desku. Je velmi důležité pečlivě zvážit, jak desku orientovat, z jaké strany do ní strčit a kde budou vyznačené otvory. Poté vložíte jednu ze svých kuliček do neobsazené prohlubně herní desky.

    Hráči se střídají v tazích, dokud jeden z nich nevytvoří řadu čtyř svých kuliček. Pokud jeden z hráčů již nemůže vložit žádnou ze svých kuliček, okamžitě prohrává.
