L E D (also known as I.C.E.) is a strategy game about exploring a frozen valley, where as members of archaeological guilds you uncover layers of ice and search for ancient artifacts. You gradually descend deeper into the glacier, fulfil city contracts, and try to earn the greatest recognition for your discoveries.

Traces of an ancient civilisation

The game revolves around movement across a modular board made of ice layers, which players gradually "mine" and physically remove. This reveals deeper levels with more valuable finds, special locations and new options. You collect sets of artifacts, complete public and private objectives, and make efficient use of limited actions each round.

A journey into the depths

A game is divided into several game days, alternating between planning actions and actual exploration. Every strike into the ice changes the terrain for everyone, so the game situation keeps evolving. You must balance quickly grabbing available finds against the risk of going deeper for more valuable discoveries before the expedition closes and each guild's merits are scored.
